Making a Maiden Voyage

This is my maiden voyage of sorts. I stumbled upon a blog recently which inspired me to abandon trepidation about making my writing public.

As an introvert who has spent years journaling all her thoughts, keeping them hidden away, I decided to go in the deep end.

The interesting thing about a maiden voyage is that there’s no way to know by the boat how the journey goes. The Titanic ended in one of the greatest tragedies yet people have sailed around the world in boats a fraction of its size. Your reach, your journey isn’t determined by how others perceive you it’s all about how you navigate your path.

So, in many ways I see this post as a small boat pushed out into the vast expanse and I hope it gets somewhere or helps someone. Maybe it’s pushed out no more than five feet and stops. Maybe it sinks. Maybe it’s upturned by roaring waves and returns back to the beginning. Or maybe just maybe it will go all the way around the world.

The point is I have no idea how this ends the only thing I can ensure is that it has a start.
